In the event you needed yet another dating red flag to add to your list, Olivia Rodrigo just gave us some m-a-j-o-r food for thought.

During a November 1 interview with Netflix, the musician discussed the meaning behind a buncha iconic tees she sported on stage throughout her ‘GUTS’ World Tour—including a top that read “Dump Him” in reference to an iconic Britney Spears outfit. The convo ultimately led to Olivia revealing the question she tends to ask on first dates to gauge compatibility.

“This is a very oddly specific question that I ask guys on first dates: I always ask them if they think that they would want to go to space,” she began before continuing with a grin, “I always ask them if they would want to go to space. And if they say yes, I don’t date them.” “I just think if you want to go to space, you’re a little too full of yourself.” Honestly? Fair!

Obvi, Olivia’s ~theory~ sparked lots of juicy convos in the comments section, with many people high-key agreeing with the celeb—including felling singer Grimes, who shares three kids with SpaceX founder Elon Musk.

“It’s true. Only women should be going to space,” she penned on Twitter (I refuse to call it X, ‘kay?!?!) under a repost of Olivia’s comments.

*Le sigh* I love it when women!!!!

Anyway! A reminder that the “Vampire” singer has been dating Louis Partridge since *checks calendar* this time last year. Speculation about the duo first began swirling in October 2023 when The Sun reported that Olivia traveled to London with her BFF Conan Gray to visit the actor and spend some time with him. Cue: photos of the couple kissing in New York City emerging in December of that year, further confirming the 🍵.

During an interview with ELLE last month, Louis kiiiiiinda opened up a bit about his ‘ship when asked whether Olivia’s song “So American” is, in fact, about him. “Not my song, not my place. So I wouldn’t know,” he cheekily replied with a laugh.

That! Said!!! He *did* dish that the musician has influenced his music taste. “My girlfriend has been trying to get me into more pop recently—Chappell Roan has been on repeat,” he said, referring to Olivia and her iconic former tourmate. As for intel on a woman outside of his family he admires, Louis revealed, “I read a bit of Joan Didion recently, courtesy of my girlfriend recommending her—Slouching Towards Bethlehem, which really made me want to go to LA.”

Clearly, the couple that shares interests together, stays together!
